Crew Resource Management

Overview

The crew involved in the operation of an aircraft must coordinate their efforts and rely on the effective use of resourses to ensure the safe operation of a flight. Most resources have limitations which may render the resource ineffective in certain situations or environments.

Crew Resource Management (CRM) training focuses on the effective use of all resources (software and hardware) to allow an individual, whether operating alone or in multi-crew environment, to achieve the highest possible level of safety and efficiency.

Our Crew Resource Management (CRM) courses are developed utilizing the following topics as a framework for discussion:

  • Crew Performance (Teamwork)

  • Developing error prevention and error management strategies

Methods

A variety of instructional methods and techniques are used to ensure that the material is delivered interactively while keeping participants interested with the primary focus on a practical approach.

Basic Cockpit Resource Management (single pilot, two crew) through to Company Resource Management (multi crew, flight attendants, maintenance, dispatch) courses are available.

We offer programs ranging from introductory CRM through to advance or recurrent CRM.

Our course content meets and exceeds all Transport Canada requirements for Human Factors training (CRM, Human Factors in Maintenance)
